Sometimes things don't go as planned and we need to look for help. With the gSprint, we tried to make them as simple as possible but sometimes issues come up. First, make sure you have them set up correctly having followed the set up which can be found here: How do I set up the gSprint?
If you are still having issues, let's go over a few things.
How do you have them set up? If you have the finish gate set up correctly, there should be 3 beeps once they pass the gate. Are they crossing the finish gate and no beeps? 1 beep? 3 beeps?
- If no beeps then the finish gate is not set up correctly. If the athlete is running through the gate and it does not beep then the gates might be too close. If you installed new batteries, the beam can be very strong. We suggest at least 3ft between the gates.
- If it is not reporting anything, then we need to see what is going. When the finish gate rx is on and the other side of the gate is not, it should beep constantly until the other unit is on creating a beam between the units.
- If 1 beep, then that is a split gate and thus the reason the time still runs. Use the finish gate and make sure you are getting 3 beeps when they cross the line.
- If you did not purchase a split gate and it is only beeping 1 time, then we need to to a swap of units. (This has never happened but there is always a first time for everything!)
- If 3 beeps, the time should stop and report on the receiver screen unit. This is what we want.
Here are some trouble shooting videos to help you check what is going on.
