We recently did a test with various types of batteries in various low states and found a few things which can help you trouble shoot your gFlight device.
The super quick test you can do is this: Put in your batteries and refer to the below images.
If the red light is flashing when you power up the device, you have fresh batteries. If the red light is not flashing, the batteries are too discharged to be used.
For some, people are using batteries with 1.2v which when discharged, will cause issues. Make sure you are using a 1.5v AAA battery.
Refer to the below test to see how we mixed batteries and voltages to get results. All batteries were measured individually and together to get their respective voltage.

Conclusions:
- The green led turned on for all battery configs.
- The BLE module and app can connect in all cases.
- The red flashing light as indicated in the picture above will blink when sufficient voltage is present. As a result, the gFlight logo will be displayed.
- If the red flashing light is not present, the gFlight logo will not be displayed as the voltage is not sufficient.
- The screen will only light up for batteries above the 3.3v limit.

ALWAYS USE FRESH BATTERIES.
